JANUARY OF MIXED GRILLS?!
The first month of 2020 has just ended, and the month for me came with the Good, Bad and Ugly. A member of my Rotary International Club Umungasi Aba died on the 4th of January and while we were still trying to come to terms with this shocking death another member was Kidnapped but was released on the 5th day after a ransom was paid. Two members of my Rotary International Club Umungasi Aba were nominated for Knighthood investiture a cheering news you would say. The opposition party PDP staged peaceful protests against the Supreme Court ruling on the Imo state Governorship elections which sacked the PDP governor and swore in APC candidate who came 4th position. Even though the PDP candidate has gone back to court for review on the questionable judgement of the court.
In the US, Trump who was almost at the verge of being impeached by Democrats survived the scare because the Republicans came together despite their differences to prevent that. Meanwhile, Britain under Boris Johnson finally left EU after a long battle with the leftists. Also in this January Duke and Duchess of Succexx Harry and Meghan decided to step back from Royal duties and relocate to Canada amidst backlash from fans and foes,so many people felt that the move was actually initiated by Meghan Markle, whatever that informed that decision we can only wish them the best and hope that they have no regrets whatsoever.
Back home in Nigeria a Christian student from Plateau state and a CAN(Christian Association of Nigeria) Chairman of Adamawa state was brutally murdered including so many other people who were victims of the Boko Haram Terrorist sect. With the APC government led by Buhari seeming helpless to do anything about the Insecurity situation. The most painful incident so far was the death of NBA Legend Kobe Bryant, his Daughter and seven others died in a helicopter crash in the US on their way to a Basketball game of the Legend's 13year old daughter with another team mate. The Coronavirus equally broke out this January from a Sea food Market in Wuhan China. Some deaths had been recorded so far but we hope that it will be contained sooner than later.
However the month must have looked Good or Bad,my prayer is that the souls of the dead Rest In perfect peace while the families they left behind be consoled and comforted because these are painful times for these people. We must refuse to give up and continue to press on despite the challenges each and everyone is facing. I attended a Women Conference today 31st January and all the speakers kept reiterating on the need for us to follow our dreams and visions, consistency and persistency should be our watch word and never back down on whatever ideas we have nurtured.
WISHING ALL OF US A DEATH FREE AND A PROSPEROUS 2020 IN JESUS NAME AMEN!!!
JUST MUSING🤔!!!
