WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY
ENVIRONMENT DAY 2020!!
Every June 5th is set aside to mark the World's Environment Day, this year despite the Coronavirus challenge ravaging our world it was remembered albeit in a low-key manner. The essence of setting a day aside to remember the role we have to play in keeping our environment safe and healthy is to ensure that we do not fail to keep protecting the environment from things inimical to the progress and also to make sure we bequeath our generations unborn a very healthy and conducive world devoid of sickness brought unto humanity by our negative and harmful activities on the fragile Mother Earth.
Scientists and Environmentalists/ Conservationist all over the world have continued to cry out on the need for Man to drastically or totally eliminate the various products that contribute to Air, Water and Soil pollution because it always comes back to haunt humanity. The continuous and steady destruction of the ozone layer, the drastic change in climate recorded all over the world, desertification arising from felling trees without replacement are all part of the numerous problems causing damage to our precious Earth. Everyone has got to play their part if this battle must be won. Countries are gradually shifting from plastic products to eliminate plastic wastes which is one of the major problems, no country whether developed or developing should joke with this issue. Carbon monoxide emissions from vehicles, generators etc should be looked into so as to get an alternative to fossil fuels. Some scientific breakthroughs have been made in this direction with the introduction of electric cars etc. This should be sustained so that in 20yrs time engines propelled by fossil fuels would now be a thing of the past. One of the very few upside to this Coronavirus Pandemic is the lockdown which kept people indoors and engines switch off. Children and teenagers should be taught on the need to protect and preserve this Earth that way sustainability is ensured.
LONG LIVE OUR WORLD!!
ALL LIVES MATTER!!!
JUST MUSING🤔!!
