ALL SAINTS/SOULS DAY

We are gradually and steadily getting to end of this year 2020, we owe every thanks to Him alone who brought us thus far even in the midst of the novel Coronavirus Pandemic that has ravaged the world since December  2019. It has not been easy on anyone at all both economically and psychologically, countries especially developing and third world nations suffered the devastating effect most. Back home in Nigeria while we grappled with the devastating effect of the Pandemic economically on the nation and people, the last month's peaceful End SARS/Police Brutality protest took a different dimension when hoodlums hijacked it and totally wrecked havoc destroying private and government properties, innocent lives were not spared cos both the security agents and civilians were killed either by stray bullets or deliberate attacks.

Today in the Orthodox Churches of mainly Catholic and Anglican we remember the souls of the innocent children murdered by King Herod in a bid to eliminate Baby Jesus when he found that that a Baby King greater than him was born by a Hebrew woman during his reign, and since he couldn't locate the particular child chose to kill babies born within a particular time to totally eliminate the child. And so every 2nd November is been celebrated as Holy innocents and All souls day, as we remember the souls of the departed today we equally remember the lives lost recently in Nigeria my country from the End SARS protest, Victims of Banditry/Herdsmen attacks, and so many others who died because their Motherland could not protect them. We also remember the souls of brethren from other countries of the world who have died or still dying needless because of man's inhumanity to fellow human.

We pray for the repose of their souls, and that the families they left behind would be consoled and comforted by God our Maker and Father. We hope the Federal government adequately compensates the families of the deceased even though no compensation can take the place of a loved one. As we move ahead as a nation let us eschew violence under the guise of anything, because violence will only breed destruction and loss of precious lives and properties which doesn't favor anyone right now. We must work for Peace and the government must fulfill their promises of changing the status quo in order to effect the desired change we hope to see in Nigeria.

May the souls of the departed continue to Rest In God's Perfect Peace in Jesus Precious name Amen!!

Have an Amazing and Rewarding November to remember!!🙏🙏
